Enabling Web Assistant

Hi, I have done the training and watched the videos to create Guided Tours on the Web Assistant.  I know the steps to create one and can access the Carousel in the UAT system, we are not live yet.  But it doesn't show me a create or edit button.

I watched the session with SAP earlier this year (before I understood it).  I believe there is more set-up I need to do before the Web Assistant is fully activated?

Suggestions please.

Thanks

Ray

Hi Aussie_Ray,

If the SAP Companion editing pencil button is not displayed at all, try embedding the following string into the URL of the application that contains SAP Companion, directly following the? in the URL:

help-editor=true&

For example, I can turn on the editing pencil in S/4HANA by amending the URL to look something like:

https://my304870.s4hana.ondemand.com/ui?help-editor=true#Shell-home

I didn't put the & after help-editor=true because there were no other parameter in the URL, the & is used as a separator if existing parameters are already in the URL directly following the ?

Regards
Shane

Thank you, that is hugely helpful. I have edited the URL on previous projects to change a language.

This is the URL now. https://qa-s4.sap.dai.com:44300/flp?help-editor=true/sap-client=200#Shell-home. I still can't see the editor pencil.
