Good afternoon team,

I would like to share with you the following new feature presented in LMS:

Currently, the client has completed most of the steps for the migration process to the LMS IAS, but still has to activate the integration of Identity Authentication in learning. Likewise, the moment in which the process is started, the following new feature is shown in the images:

Captura de pantalla 2024-12-13 a la(s) 5.59.25 p.m..png

Once we select the verify button, the following error is generated:

Captura de pantalla 2024-12-13 a la(s) 6.01.42 p.m..png

We found indications in the SAP notes, which refer to configuring the default user source system and the rules user.connector.defaultValue.lms-origin and sfuser.connector.defaultValue.lms-origin, this in LMS.

Captura de pantalla 2024-12-13 a la(s) 6.05.29 p.m..png

As shown in the attached images, both the default user source system and the referred rules are blank, this is because the client has internal user types (SuccessFactors) and external (learning-only users).

Someone who has experienced this novelty, who can give us advice or support.

I remain attentive.

Cordially,

@MaoAcevedo, can you check if the following documentation section helps you: Learning Configuration Procedure?

Good afternoon team, I appreciate the information shared, likewise, the concern was regarding which is the best alternative for the default user source system, taking into account that the client has both internal and external user types, which according to the indications in the note https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_SUCCESSFACTORS_LEARNING/82cf7c83c7db42a8aa1d3bbdbc39e93d/3f29058a9dfe4... , a learning-only user or a platform user must be chosen. 2. Within the indications of the shared note, it is not clear how those external users created in LMS will reach IAS. I am attentive to your comments. Cordially,

As I understand, connectors are generally used to bring users from BizX to Learning, meaning that these users would authenticate via BizX (not Learning only users). It's not clear how Learning only users would be created here, but there are different manners, other than via connectors. Once Learning only users are created, they'd be synced to IAS (the 4th step explains it). I also understand these are all implementations decisions, so there could exist ideal approaches depending on the business setup of each customer.

@MaoAcevado, How did you resolve the issue? I am in middle of migrating and ran into the same error. We also have both internal and external type of users. Thanks
