Hi Shane, yes that's correct. They're both Master Authors. Could this be the issue?

Sorry if it's a rookie question, would you please guide me to how to open a ticket? I'm not sure that I have a link for it.

Thanks

Vin

Hi Vin,

Does the SSO user record of the user have an authoring Role in Manager, i.e. they need either Master Authors or Standard Authors Role?

When you say that the user 'installed' the application after downloading the .SENL file to their computer, you mean just run it, there is nothing to install other than the App Launcher, which is available from the Help menu in Manager. That must be installed.

If the user does have an authoring Role, and they have installed the App Launcher, and they just run the Producer.senl file and it still does not open, please raise a ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO so that someone in support can take a look.

Regards
Shane

But thats what the user did. Logged into Manager through SSO and then launched producer which downloaded the SENL file to the downloads folder and then when they try installing it - it gives this error

Have you got some weird mix of on-prem and cloud instances going on? Maybe some leftover implementation? I can't think of another way you would see that problem? Unless there is something preventing the creation of a local Producer repository on the Authorr's PC...

Did you try what it said and open Producer via Manager?

If you dont want your users to have to do that (and SSO is enabled) then launch Producer from Manager yourself, capture the URL (ending in producer.senl, probably) and then distribute that to your Authors.
