Employee Replication to C4C from EC: Issue with Regiona and Country mapping

Hello,

We are trying to replicate employee data from EC to C4C as part of SF EC Service Center implementation.

Integration is working fine apart from issue with Country and Region fields under address. As part of standard implementation, data of address type 'Business' is mapped to workplace address nodes. In EC, country is GBR whereas in C4C it is GB.

1. IF we are maintaining code list mapping for conversion from GBR to GB in C4C:

a) Employee is replicated (address received without region) successfully in C4C with correct details under workplace address

b)Replication fails with code list error pointing to region code. This happens if same employee is replicated with Region. We suspect it is due to system comparing GBR+region code combination under code mapping.

2. IF we map Province in EC (bcoz codes are same as C4C i.e. GB)to Country (changes in integration mapping) and no code list mapping changes in C4C for country then workplace address is not determined at all.

Please suggest if someone has done standard implementation of this interface.

Issued Resolved. Learnings:

1. SAP has maintained in built code list mapping for Gender and Country in the standard package. Hence no need to do anything for these 2 fields. SF EC has 3 digit country codes which are converted into 2 digit codes recognized by C4C.

2. Standard interface package picks only address type 'Business'. This is not available as standard in EC. Hence either create custom address type in EC OR maintain mapping in HCI to convert from required address type to Business. We preferred latter approach.

3. Email type B and Phone type CELL is updated in EC. Rest all email and phone types are ignored.

4. Communication data should appear under 'workplaceaddress' node for update in C4C.

Hello Gupta, for Country what is this based on? Is it an Employee Business Workplace address and if so where in EC are these attributes held?

Can this be replicated for Employee personal email as well.

We have a requirement where Personal EA value should come from EC to C4S.
