Using the Configure Object Definition tool, you can create or modify generic object definitions. An object definition represents a business entity or object. It contains information about fields (properties of an object), associations (relationship to other objects), workflows, business rules, and security configuration for an object. Using the Manage Data tool, you create instances of an object, based on the object definition. For more information, refer to Managing MDF Object Instance in "Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF)".
