Employee central payroll posting to S4 HANA Cloud system

Dear All,

To post the HR salaries from employee central payroll we need GL account mapped to wage types.

This will be done using wage type mapped to symbolic account in table V_T52EL and symbolic account mapped to GL account in OBYG and OBYE. Now question is do we need to create GL account and all finance related config in employee central payroll as well?

Creating Chart of Account, creating a company mapping company to chart of account, creating GL accuont under company code will be done in both S4 HANA and ECP? or any other process for this?

Hi Akhil

The payroll posting from ECP to S4HANA will need the creation of the company structure, financial objects like controlling area, chart of accounts etc. in sync with S4HANA - this is because the posting is effectively accomplished in ECP. The simulation as well as live posting will first happen in ECP and only then will the posting be reflected in S4HANA through standard ALE integration.

Hence, yes, symbolics and GL accounts need to be created in both places. The financial posting will be executed in ECP (either through PCC or if the business wants to do this at the backend in ECP) and then the posting will reflect in S4HANA.

Have you done posting to the Vendor account for Loans deduction? How does the scenario work?
