Employee Central - Approval workflow on Address changes done via History icon

Dear all,

Could you please advise how to build a business rule that should initiate an approval workflow in case the end user changes his/her home address in the Contact & Addresses portlet via the History icon (clock icon)?

Our current rule works fine if changes are done via the Pencil icon, but if a new record address record is inserted in History, no workflow is created.

Hi,

I would like to inform workflows cannot be triggered when changes are made from history button.

Hello, 

there is a possibility to greyed out 'insert new record' button from History icon. 

Remove History and Edit/insert access from Address info Action (1st line in RBP portlet) and keep field level permission to Edit.

There is no way to get an approval workflow on the insert button, it's literally system designed to skip any form of workflow. Either you don't allow people to use it to prevent unrightful adding or you allow it.
