Hi,
We have a requirement that we need to create custom email notification or send out an email to a particular person in our organization.this should notify the person when there is a new hire in particular divison.
can we achieve this if so what is the approach

You can achieve this with an alert business rule.
Steps:
3. Create the business rule as per the example below. Assign it to the Employment Details portlet (employmentInfo) as Event Type saveAlert.
