Email notification creation for a division

Hi,

We have a requirement that we need to create custom email notification or send out an email to a particular person in our organization.this should notify the person when there is a new hire in particular divison.

can we achieve this if so what is the approach

Dear syam109,

You can achieve this with an alert business rule.

Steps:

1. Create an alert message (Manager Data > Alert Message)
2. Create a workflow to trigger the message, as per the below example. We are using the Manager in our example, but you can the needed actor. We defined the manager in both the step and CC, because we want to create the alert + send the email notification.

3. Create the business rule as per the example below. Assign it to the Employment Details portlet (employmentInfo) as Event Type saveAlert.

Note: The screenshots above are just examples, please create as per your requirements.
