Email Masking and Email Anonymization - Instance Refresh

Hi dear community,

As you all know we are able to mask employee and candidate email address during instance refresh

We also have a selective anonymization template, which we can download make any relevant field Yes/No and upload it for anonymization.

However, while masking employee/candidate email address, at the same time we can anonymize the fields below from download template,

User Management - Email

Employee Central - EMAIL_ADDRESS

Recruiting - Candidate Email

Do we need to use both employee/candidate mask options, and anonymize the email fields in the template at the same time? What would happen if we use only mask option during instance refresh, and not take any action for email fields in the template ?

I would be glad if you can share your thoughts here.
