Dear Colleagues,
Does anybody implemented successfully the Setting up import of external time data (Kaba Machines - Clock in/out) into EC Time Sheet?, how this you manage to get the preconfigured template requited to be uploaded in the staging area from Kaba Systems?
Thanks to anybody who would like to share the experience or any technical documentation produced,
Cheers,
Jose Angel Alcon

Hello Jose,
what do you need to know exactly? The tricky thing is that we do not yet have a pair formation that makes out of single time punches a record with start / end times.
Cause this is what you can upload only into EC Time currently: a full record with start / end time (or only a duration record). Pairing of single punches on the terminal need to be done beforehand. There are partner solutions that sell this kind of pair formation or you can do it via some logic on your device, but here I can´t help.
We are working on a proper clock in / out integration where we perform the pair formation, but this won´t be available soon. Hence you would need to do the pair formation on your own (including a process like notification when a clock in / out is missing, manual correction and so on).
The part to send the record to EC is then more simple: you either upload it as a file import via manage data or you use Odata calls that write our Odata API.

Volker

Hi Volker,
Thanks very much in advance for the information provided,
Would you be willing to have a Skype meeting to discuss about this and about the future of EC Time Sheet and External Time Recording Systems?, That would be great if, as part of the AdeConsult team specialized in Time Management Solutions integrated with SAP, we could count with your vision and your advice on this topic and towards the possible sales of this product to potential clients,
Thanks a lot in advance,
Jose Angel Alcon
