Hi.
I'm trying to configure a varpay plan, but I'm having problems saving EC Employee History field mapping.
I map all the fields and Save. SF says that it was saved successfully. But when I come back to it, nothing has been saved.
I tried another plan and noticed that when I flag Use Employee Central for history data and bonus targets at Employee Central Settings, I receive following error: "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'internalCode')".
I didn't find any KBA about this error. Does anyone know what this is about and how can I fix it?
Thanks,
Isabella

Hi @Isabella
Is your Variable Pay template as a whole integrated to EC ?
Is there an EC Effective Date entered in Plan Setup ?
All the best,
Xavier

Hi Isabella.
I've had the same problem before, and I can tell you that the only way I solved it was by changing the field mapping directly in "Manage business configuration" under Employee profile > Background elements.
It's the only way I've found to make changes to the history mapping. Try changing it from there and you'll see that it updates in the variable pay plan settings.
I'm not sure if this is an area of opportunity for the tool, or if it's some expected behavior, but it has happened to me frequently.
Hope it helps.
