Hi,

I have a query pertaining to E - Recruitment. Is it possible to upload candidate resumes? If yes than what is the path for doing the same?

Hi Garima,

Yes, it possible for candidates to upload resumes or any other file. It is part of the standard roadmap for both candidate creation and applicant creation.

The recruiter can also perform the task on behalf of the candidate/applicant.

Attachment info is stored via infotype 5134, here you will GUID etc. to help locate the attachment if needed.

Thats asking a lot

But start by reading notes 997181 and 890357 - will give a bit of insight to options of implementation and minimum config.

The IMG is also okay, so start from the top and walkthrough the points.

Few points often overlooked:

• All users MUST have a candidate object assigned - check program RCF_CREATE_USER, that will get a candidate for your user and assigned email etc. This is only for testing purpose.
• TREX is pretty important for the functionality - searching, ranking, posting etc.
• Workflow - takes care of putting objects in the right state etc. SAP standard WF is only for testing purposes, lots of gaps etc in them
• Client 000 is full of demo data that can speed of the implementation - again only for demo/testing purpose

Start setting up and then ask questions

There is also LOTS of SDN questions.

As i am new to SAP so lil. However 'll try to follow what you have advised.

I have checked here and the client has E - Recruitment implemented, and is using only for generating Applicant Id(for selected candidates),and now wish to make most of it.

They don't have ESS & neither want to spend right now. I understand that they on't be able to do Job Posting; Job description; No Access to internal / external candidates.[ Pls correct me if i am wrong]

I assume that they can only capture candidate details & can have reports based on the same.

Please guide me how to go about it

ESS is not a requirement for internal candidates. The candidate pages (WDA) dont need anything from the portal to run.

There is two different URLs for the external and internal candidates:

http://SERVER:PORT/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_startpage_ext_cand?sap-client=XXX

http://SERVER:PORT/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_startpage_int_cand?sap-client=XXX

I dont understand what you are trying to do - you can easy create job posting and have candidates apply for these job postings. It is all standard functionality.

Thank you so much for your response & sharing the important links.

Here the client has E - Recruitment implemented, and has been using the same only for generating the Applicant Ids for candidates.

Now they want to make most of it, due to this i have raised the query.

I am not able access the links for internal & external cndidates...it would be nice if you can send them again pls.

As you have mentioned that ESS is not required for internal candidates....i want to understand how an internal employee would come to know about the job posting & how he/she 'll apply as they don't have access to system.

In case if it is to be done manually by the administrator right.
