Hi Experts ,
Looking for your guidances on E-Rec on Ecc.6.0 EHP 6
1/ As i came across some info which says for E-Rec needs to have an external server to hole the candidate data & to pull the short listed candidates data to SAP, is this true or the same data can be maintained in SAP, starting from Candidates application to screening to shortlisting to interviews etc.
2/ Is there any license fee involved from SAP's side for number of Applicants/Candidates Logins/accessing the comapany portal for Profile upload,if yes then how it is managed.
Please guide on the same.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Srs,
1/ There can be two approaches for installing SAP E-Recruitment:
A: SAP E-Recruiting and SAP ERP run on same instance
B: SAP E-Recruiting and SAP ERP run on different systems- preferred approach. However, includes additional cost of maintaining a server
In the Approach B- the master data is integrated using standard ALE.The info you came across must be referring to this approach.
2/ I haven't come across a scenario where licensing is done based on number of candidates/applicants. Please refer to SAP Buyer License Guide for further details..
Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul,
Can you please guide me a bit on
A: SAP E-Recruiting and SAP ERP run on same instance.
If at all client doesnt want to go for a seperate surver, then how can we still implement E-rec:
B: SAP E-Recruiting and SAP ERP run on different systems- preferred approach. However, includes additional cost of maintaining a server
Separate Server means additional cost to the client which looks difficult.
Please put some light on this.

The PDF from note 997181 gives an overview of exactly these issues, integrated and standalone scenario.
I'd suggest review of this PDF and also our external wiki too.
