E Rec-Screening & Shortlisting

Hi Experts,

We want to execute screening & shortlisting through system on certain standard criterion like Education, Age, Experience etc of candidate applying. Is this any way feasible in Standard E Rec. In Current situation we have more then 50000 applications in a requisition & it becomes really a difficult task for recruiter to shortlist candidates manually & chances of error are also very high.

Pl help me with certain examples If possible.

Hi Puneet,

The cleanest way to do this is by using a questionnaire activity by which you could rank your candidates in the "Assignments" screen.

However, since you have 50000 candidates, this would mean that the recruiter would need to fill out all these questionnaires. You could automate this by copying over the information from the candidate's profile to the questionnaire when the candidate submits the application. But with that approach, the system will not take the changes to the profile, made at a later time, into account.

As an alternative, you could add columns with information from the candidate profile to the "Assignments" screen and sort the candidates. You can define a sorting on multiple columns at once.

Thanks Luk,

Please suggest that can we add columns to the assignment screen through standard configuration only or we need to do some customization/enhancement.

The challenge which I forecast with screening using Questionnaire is that you need to map candidate to a talent group then rank them but there is no way to take back selected ranked candidates to requisition for further assignments.

Please help as I am struggling badly with SAP E Recruitment.

Hi Puneet,

Adding columns to the assignments screen is a mix of customizing and development.

There is a customer include that you can use to add field to the screen structure, a BAdI that you need to use to fill the additional fields and customizing tables that you need to add the new columns to the process steps where you want to see them.

Check out IMG path Technical Settings -> User interfaces -> Administrator and Recruiter -> Settings for Candidate Selection. Each of the IMG nodes contains a rather elaborate explanation on what you need to do to fiddle with the assignments screen.
