e-Rec installation

Hi,

My client BASIS team had accidentally installed ECC on the e-REC instance which is a standalone. Also have a separate ECC instance where all the employee data is maintained. ALE feeds from ECC to e-Rec are done on a nightly BASIS.

So, will there be a problem of having ECC activated on e-Rec too?

Regards,

V

Hi,

On the attachments of note 997181 you have the switches which differ a standalone and integrated scenario.

In your situation, you will only have problems if you change the switches which take care of pointing the HR system. If you change the below switches and self-refer the system, you will have problems indeed. If this is not touched, no issues.

Switches:

  • RECFA HRRCF Logical system of the coupled HR system

  • RECFA DTCBA RFC connection to the SAP ERecruiting

system

Hope I have clarified.

KR,

Bentow.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for your valuable inputs. The issue seems to be resolved and as Ghem mentioned, we took precautions with the switches and looks like the ALE feed is transferred correctly into the e-Rec infotpyes with the Conversion mapping of MSGTYP HRMD_A to HRMD_ABA*. We did a data check in our e-Rec system and havent seen any data flowing into PA tables so far. I am closing this thread but will re-open should I any further help.

Thanks,

Vikram

Hello,

It can cause problems as we check in several codings if it is a stand-alone system or not and then other coding is processed. See for that also note 1029229 for that.

That's not a problem, maybe even more of an advantage.
