E-mail verification link expires

Hi,

When a external candidate register, the link should expire in one week,  but the cookie period should last for instance 30 days.

After day 7 a screen should open up telling the candidate the registration period is over and he should register again and this screen should open up from day 8 – day 30. How can I customize this?
