Triple is an innovative multilingual discovery platform for the social sciences and humanities (SSH).
As far as the multilinguality support in GoTriple is concerned, currently the platform:
Does SAP SuccessFactors Lab (who designed Grows portfolio, opportunty Marketplace & Dynamic Teams concepts) are involved in these european funded project (The project is funded by the European Commission, under Grant Agreement No. 863420.) ? there is definitely some key features (like multi language classification & annotation, Discovery mode) that would be good to bring to Skill ontology framework.
it doesn't make sense that each customer develop it's own skill framework to ingest the curated data into their own Sap SuccessFactors instance as a skill inference : skill ontology is meant to be shared to bring the true value of skills.
Skill life cycle follows these paths :
1 - emerging (few candidates have the skill, few job offer mention it)
2 - in-demand (skill often found in candidate resume, and in job requisition)
3 - wanted (skill in demand for formal training, required for some specific jobs on specific sectors)
4 - highly researched (skill developed by a growing number of school, candidate can ask premium if they have it, company develop curriculum to gain these skill)
5 - no inDemand (skill present in candidate resume, not present in job requisition, not requested in Development need)
6 - outdated (not present in candidate resume, not present in job requisition, not requested for development need)
Companies gain the most values when they are focusing on skills 2/3/4. they gain even more when they detect skill moving from 1 to 2 or 3 by hiring candidates when the skill is still not highly researched.
if they are only looking to their own data, they can miss big trends just because in their sector, skill wording or language or recruiting habit is not the same than current skill trend related to it.

Hello @pboulicaut !
Actually, we have a concept of an interaction between a skills ontology and the customers' specific skills libraries, as we know from our customers that most of them have a strong need for governance on the library that their users work with, and change management processes when these are updated. But we also agree with you that it is important for our customers to stay up to date on the latest skills in the market, etc., and so will be offering insights and recommended updates to their libraries based on the data in the skills ontology.
We are not specifically working with project TRIPLE, but we will look into it. Thank you!
