There is information on Saleforce.com's website where the company reached out to their workforce to see if anyone would be willing to voluntarily share additional personal data. It's worth exploring how other companies are using SF to engage their workforce to open up regarding their self-ID options, such as LGBTQIA+ status. We are not looking for a survey. Have any companies found a way to engage employees with maybe a pop up tile to somehow collect this type of data and eventually report on it? Here is the example we referenced. We are looking for ways to support a more diverse & inclusive workforce and want to know what options are available and how companies are thinking outside the box to cpature this.

Well the standard things are the personal pronouns and additional 3 gender options upgrades.
You could explore adding more options for either of those even, but companies tend to not often go beyond that.
I had 1 company that tried to capture the country of birth of the mother and father of people to partially get more data from people regarding their background, but apart from the USA the race field isn't generally used (and is in many countries also not permitted to be asked which may be 1 of the hurdles). You'd be surprising how many people are not willing to fill out that even during an onboarding phase.
One of the things that is surprisingly universal is the willingness of people to add data in a system, that may just be one of the reasons companies don't go too far with registering such data.
