Documentation out of scale

Hi Community!

I have a problem with my generated document in Producer. The highlights in many screenshots within my document are appearing out of scale (the actual clicking area is not being highlighted correctly although it runs correctly in the demo - please refer to picture below). I'm not sure what causes this problem, but do you have any suggestions on how to solve this ?

Thank you!

Check that the Documentation > Highlight Position / Size is the same as the Control > Position and Size for your actions (it should be).

Usually I see this error if the actual screenshot dimensions are different from what SAP Enable Now has been told it is (in the Page Size property of the Screen). And usually they are different if the author has manually edited the screenshot - for example to remove the browser header. Although then you'd typically also see issues in playback as well...

Thanks for the comment!
I tried to match manually the page size and the document screenshot size but that did not fix the generated document.

So the actual screenshot size was different to the Page property? (And you fixed this.) And the Documentation > Highlight Position / Size is the same as the Control > Position and Size? If so then yes, maybe open a ticket - and post the outcome here, for future reference.

Hi Lynn,

I suspect that the issue is with DPI Scaling but I'm not sure how to reproduce your error. My only suggestion is that if you are using multiple monitors while trying to generate the documentation, perhaps try duplicating the display, rather than having an extended display, and see if that resolves the issue. Outside that, raise an SAP support ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO and see if support have any ideas.

Hi Shane!

Thanks for the comment.
I'm not sure I understood what you meant by that though "if you are using multiple monitors while trying to generate the documentation, perhaps try duplicating the display, rather than having an extended display".

Thank you again !

Hi Lynn,

I've found that recording Simulations, when using multiple monitors, can be an issue so I thought that maybe something strange was occurring when you were generating the documentation, assuming that you are using multiple monitors. However, I would go with Dirk's comments below. I never even considered that someone may have modified the size of a screen image, however, if that has occurred, it could definitely lead to the issue mentioned below.

Is this issue happening for anyone else with the same Simulations, or just when the documentation is generated from your PC?

Shane

Hi Shane, thanks again for the comment!
Actually, it's happening from any PC not just mine.
