Document Template is not working

Hi All,

I have recently created the customized template for one of my project and i followed the below steps:

1. Duplicated the Documentation style

2. Edited the SAP - Master Document, SAP - Single Document with title, and SAP - Single Document

3. Duplicated the Documentation Settings for Hands on Guide and Standard Guide

4. Applied Style which i have created.

5. Saved all back to server and published

Now when i am trying to generate the document, i am still getting the old default template not the one i have customized.

Please guide me if i am missing any step.

Regards,

Neeraj Aryan

What did you duplicate in Step 1? If you just edited the default templates in 2 there was no need to duplicate in 1? Not sure what you're doing in Step 4 either. Typically what I do is:

  1. Create new copies of SAP - Single Document; SAP - Single Document with Title; SAP - Master Document, usually outside of SAP Enable Now, then load them into the existing Documentation Style Adaptable Resource. Make sure you call them something unique (files and Names).
  2. Duplicate the relevant Documentation Settings resource for the document (e.g. Hands-On Guide) and call it something unique.
  3. Change the Template specified in the document created in (2) to specify the .dot created in (1).

That's pretty much it. See this blog post for more detailed instructions.
