Displaying Bookpage Titles/Names in the Control Bar

Hi Team,

Where do you toggle the setting where you can either display or hide the book page name/title that will appear in the control bar?

OK, are you talking about simulations, or Books/Book Pages, now? For Book Pages you only see the Title in the Table of Contents (see Anton's screenshot). For Simulations, you see the Step Name (see my first answer). What you get to the right of the logo is the Trainer name when you're in the main Trainer view:

And that is specified in the Playback Settings > library > Visual Properties > Title setting.

I am talking book pages only. I noticed when I have a bookpage by itself without it being attached to a book, it will display the name of the book page. When you add it under a book, it loses the name.

Gotcha. I think that is by design - if it is part of a book you will have the Table of Contents (which shows the Book Page Name), and if it is a stand-alone Book Page there is no Table of Contents so the Book Page Name is shown instead. It wouldn't make sense to have both displayed at the same time.

Its the Heading/Titles beside the logos that match the names of the book pages!

Ohh, sorry, my mistake - I was thinking about Step Names (in Simulations). It's not just showing white text on a white background? (See if you can select it, or use the developer console). Will do some more research.

Would you also know how to toggle the navigation tree on or off (highlighted in red)? It seems ours was turned off and I dont know how to get it back!

Wait a minute...how do you have a screenshot of my content?? GloboCorp is my dummy client, and that's a simulation I created...

Check your URL - a parameter of &lb_tree=false will hide the tree. For a Book, also check the Book Reader category of settings. Otherwise it might just be remembering that you've minimized it in your browser cookies. Drag it out, close the browser, and see if it still does it when you re-open.

By change it was a screenshot I grabbed offline of what I was missing! I will check those, I just thought there was a setting where you can disable the tree/library all together.

Hi Dirk,

I have that checked in my global-trainer now, and for some reason my regular book pages aren't displaying the "name" either. See the screen shot below, the picture on top is the display in my "customization" settings, and the image below is when I play it.
