Hello everyone

there must be a setting where you can deactivate hot keys in mouse actions (alternativley you can press Strg + C) but I am not sure where. I know you can deactivate it in recordings general but I only want to know if there is a setting where i only deactivate it for mouse actions. Thanks in Advance.

Hi Katharina,

Sorry, I had misunderstood you issue. Bubble text comes from Recording Dictionaries that are located beneath the Resources section. To modify these entries you will need to create a new Recording Dictionary and set that as your default. After creating a new dictionary, open it, select the correct language and search for an entry to try to locate the specific recording dictionary entry that is causing the issue. You could also search for [B_HOTKEY] because that is likely to be the marker used to add the hotkey entry to the message box text. Once you locate the entry, double click it to open it and then modify the standard string. In your case, that would mean deleting the last part of the string. After making the relevant changes, save the new dictionary and ensure that it is synchronised to Manager so that it can be used by other authors.

Shane

Hi Katharina,

What hot keys are you referring to; mouse actions do not typically have a hot key assigned to them? Are you running Desktop Assistant? If so, there are hot keys assigned to this that may be impacting your work. These are modified by:

1. Open Producer
2. Select Resources > Adaptable Resources > Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings
3. Click the Start Editing button to take editing control
4. Double-click the Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings resource
5. Select the Desktop Assistant sub section of settings and open the Function Keys group of settings
6. Remove these settings and save the change
7. Regenerate the Desktop Assistant and test with the new settings

If this is not the issue, please provide more detail about the hot keys that are impacting mouse actions.

Regards
Shane

Hello Shane,

thanks for the quick response. I mean if there is a setting in Producer where you can generally set that only the click action is shown ("Click save") in the text bubble without showing the alternative hotkey ("you can also press Ctrl +S...".)
