Difference between Job Function and Job Family in SuccessFactors

Hi Experts,

How do the following differ: Job Function in Employee Central which is created via Admin Center > Manage Data > Create 'Job Function'

vs

Job Family, Job Roles created in Admin Center > Manage Job Profile Content

We know the relationship between Job Family > Job Roles > Job Codes > Positions > Employee, and how it works. 

My Query is what is the relationship of Job Function to the above? 

In other words, what guidelines should a customer follow to decide which is a Job Function or which is a Job Family.

Hi, I have came across multiple articles - along with JPB implementation guide - and as it seems for me Job Function in addition to Job Level are considered as tools where you can use to classify your jobs within Job Classification. however, this not linked nor going to help with JPB structure. I hope one day we can have linkage between both job structure (Job Classification) and Job Profile Builder structure.

Job Function defines the major function of the client business. Say example - HR , Supply Chain, Engineering.
