Hi all
I am currently investigating the deletion of candidates from eREC.
The specific question is if there is any form of automatic deletion, based on inactivity e.g. after 6 months. If so, what are the elements in this?
Further on I am struggling to understand the real difference between the values in Legal Storage Periods; when is Expiration period used and when is Retention period used? I think the standard documentation is a bit unclear on this area and there seems to be a list of elements, that is not covered in the documentation; workflow, batch jobs etc.
Hope you can provide some guidance on this area - much appreciated
Thanks
Jakob

Hi Jakob,
Yes, you can do that automatically with the help of ILM - see also Destroying Candidates without Assignments with HRRCF_CAND - Destroying E-Recruiting Information - SA....
Here it is possible to send an email to all inactive candidates and if they don't reactivate (logon) their account again, they can be deleted.
Expiration and retention period are different from point of view - first one is usually used in the EU and tells the time how long you have to store data in your system, the latter one is used to maintain the time until you can delete the objects.

Nicole
