Hi,
While there are some fields which display the dates as dd-MMM-yy, there still continue to be fields which display only dd-mm-yy. Also the reports are only pulling data in dd-mm-yy or mm-dd-yy. Similarly when we upload data the date used is only in mm-dd-yy format.
This is causing a lot of issues for us, as if there is a person wh has his instance regional settings set to UK and he downloads a report, Excel will read 6th Jan 2023 as Jan 1 2023. For US format this is not an issue as it reflects correctly.
Is anyone else facing this issue, we have raised an influence request to change all the mm to mmm to avoid this issue all together but there isnt enough traction.
Is anyone else facing this issue, and how have you found work arounds for the same?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Arun,
Yes, this is a common issue. Not only reports, this regional setting is valid for other fields like importing background information, people profile data, importing goals etc. Like when you want to import a background portlet with date field in it, you have to put the order in DD/MM/YYYY for UK and MM/DD/YYYY for Us. Otherwise you will get an error while importing. There are some KBAs regarding this date feature. You can try going through those. Let me know if you get some universal solution for this.

Sweta
