DATABASE ERROR WHEN PROCESSING PAYROLL

Dear SAP Community,

I get the error 'error when updating the database' while processing the management payroll. However, the contract payroll runs successfully.

from SM21 I get the below:

Our system runs on Sybase ASE 15.7.0.102 and from dbacockpit all seems to be ok.

All the other modules are running well.

I have tried a system restart but the error still persists.

For the past 7years, this group has been processing well and this is the first time we are getting this kind of error.

unfortunately, the error does not produce any Dump on ST22.

Hi,

Not much to go on there !

If this has produced a Dump you should check ST22 and see if there is anything there.

If there is an ST22 dump I would review the associated ABAP code section

If the error is occuring in SAP standard code you are probably looking at logging a call with OSS.

I assume historically this group has been procesing OK?

If it is occuring in customer code then you have place to start on your troubleshooting!
