We are working through a data migration in extracting historical data out of our legacy system and importing it in SuccessFactors. Specifically this question is how best to store historical performance data in the people profile. Our ideal solution is to display the final performance rating and attach the historical PDF final performance form. Ideally we'd have the historical information in the same portlet as the existing performance info but if we need to create a custom portlet that's also fine too.
Curious to hear what everyone has done! Appreciate the suggestions and ideas.
We had this same challenge a few years ago during transition. It was recommended by our Consultant (who was from SuccessFactors) that you store the data in a custom MDF table. You can then create the fields you need (Perf Year, Employee Rating, etc.), and an attachment field to load the files. It is tricky to load attachments but I believe there are some KBA's that can assist.
I don't believe it's possible to store performance data from a different system within the existing performance area.
