Customizing Home Launchpad in Manager

My specific installation of SEN has been having periodic issues with SSO through OKTA (ask if you want the details), and users are routed to the Manager's Home Launchpad instead of the learning library (where the user was intending to go).

Am I able to edit the tiles seen in the My Home Launchpad?

My hope is to create/edit a tile that routes to the Learning Library -- at least until the OKTA issue is resolved.

You can't explicitly add or remove tiles, but what you can to is add some Web Assistant content to the Home page that tells the user how to get to where they should be...

This sounds like the perfect solution (for a significant worry). However, my Companion, while working from the Manager (no other designation -- hierarchy?) view, it does not appear in the Home Launchpad - Manager view. Would this be a configuration setting? I see it nicely in yours. 🙂

That's because there's no standard help available on that screen. You'd need to configure Manager to use your own Workarea for help, and then create your own content. Effectively, you'll be running in serviceLayerVersion=SEN so you will get only custom content, but you can probably live without the standard help content anyway.

The tiles in SEN Manager are displayed to individual users based on the user's SEN Roles and Permissions.

If a user has a Role of Learner, they should be able to see the tile for the Learner View out of the box.

I would recommend reviewing the Learner Role to ensure they have access to the Learner View. Additionally, add the Learner Role to anyone affected by the OKTA routing issues, and they will have a tile for the Learner View visible to them (along with Help and a couple others).

I hope this helps!
