Custom date field validation in Performance Review form

Is there an option to enforce validations on a custom field which is of date type?
Examples could be:
- validate that date is within the validity period of the form
- validate that date is within the validity period of the current route step
- disable future dates

Currently, there isn't configurations available to validate the custom field that is of date type on PM form.
