Hi community,
I am facing an issue right now, where I want to calculate the amount of a new recurring pay component based on another existing pay component.
Imagine we have pay components A and B. Any user has an existing entry with pay component A. I built an onSave rule, which sets the amount of pay component B to x% of the amount of pay component A. If I try to apply this rule, I get an error, that the necessary pay component is not available. This refers to pay component B, because the user does not have a pay component B yet. If I create an entry with pay component B with any amount, the rule applies and overwrites the amount with the correct number.
Error Message
My question is: is there any way to build the onSave rule in that way, that it creates a pay component B entry in the first place and calculates the correct amount afterwards? Or do you know any other workaround which could solve my issue?
I hope my description was clear enough for you to understand my problem. If not, I am very happy to share further information/ explanation!
Thanks in advance and all the best,
Christian
