Create 2 goal sections on PM Form from samegoal plan, but another goal category is shown

Hi all,

Current situation:

  • 1 goal section on PM Form linked to a goal plan that has 2 goal categories
  • The goal sections shows all the goals of the 2 goal categories

Desired situation:

  • 2 goal sections on PM Form linked to a goal plan that has 2 goal categories
  • The first section, only shows the goals of the first goal category
  • The second section, only shows the goals of the second goal categoy

So, my question is: is it possible to create 2 goal sections on the PM form that are linked to the SAME goal plan, but every sections displays another goal category defined in the goal plan?

I see it's possible to configure "selective addition of goals". This means that you can define in the PM XML template that a particular goal category should be shown. I have the feeling it's not possible to define per goal section which category should be shown as it's about the same goal plan?

Thx!

Kind regards,

Ellen

Hi Ellen

This is possible. We have a PM form with the same configuration.

Add the following code in bold letters to your xml in objective section 1 of the PM form.

<
obj-sect-type autosync="true"><![CDATA[plan]]></obj-sect-type>
      <obj-sect-plan-id>#</obj-sect-plan-id>
      <obj-category><![CDATA[Name of category 1]]></obj-category>
      <meta-grp-label><![CDATA[Group]]></meta-grp-label>
    </objective-sect>

I think it used to work only when the code is added in one section. (In the meantime it might also work when you add the code in both sections.) If you add the code in one section, the goals of the other goal plan category are automatically shown in the other PM Form section.

Have a good day!

Hi Andrea!

Thanks a lot for your reply and help!

I already found the answer and I've added indeed that code to the Objective Section and it works! Thanks a lot! 🙂

At first I was focusing on the 'general' part of the template, but you should indeed configure it for the different Objective Sections.

Kind regards,

Ellen
