Configuring Date Ranges in Stories Reports

Hi there,

I've created a set of standard reports in stories and want to set the date range as YTD.  When i set the range on the Job Information Table i get errors and no data is returned.  However, if I add a Date input control and filter on Effective Start Date 1 Jan 2024 and select "include range up to current period" it seems to work.  Not sure if this is rendering the correct data though.

Why can I not set the Date Range on the Job Information Table?

I would need to YTD date set for Headcount, Terminations, Hires and Promotions.

So i eventually figured this out. On the Headcount report I am using As of date with the option to change the period. For all movement reports i.e. Terminations, Promotions, Hires I have added a date range using the Event Start Date, set it to YTD and provided the option to change the period looking back or forward. I eliminated the duplicates in the detail data by selecting Personal Details from the Job Info > Personal Info table and not the Position > Incumbents table. I also converted all reports to Optimized mode which has more functionality, especially with the date range option provided.

I understand you used as a workaround the settings described above. Is there any way based on your knowledge to use date ranges where you can insert date periods selecting precises dates, without the need of inserting looking back or forward in terms of days?

Not to my knowledge, but perhaps the Fixed Date Range would be an option. I'm still finding my way around how the date fields work in stories. YTD on Active Headcount still seems to be a challenge for me.
