Dear Experts,
May I know how to change the "Absence Days" in IT2001 from system automatically calculation to manually input?
For example, within the Start Date to End Date 01.01.2024 to 31.01.2024, the absence days was 10.
My rationale behind is to make the input as simple as possible, no need to set employee's factory own calendar, checking on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays or working days.
My company is using HCM in ECC 6.0, not SuccessFactor in S4HANA.
Thanks & regards,
James

Hi,
Don’t know if you can do this, but even if you could not sure it sounds like a good idea!
When you say ‘make the input as simple as possible’ you are actually doing the opposite in that the person keying the absence has to figure out the number each time rather then the system automatically calculating it. You could (or more likely would) end up with all kinds of inconsistencies between dates, payroll days and calendar days etc.
What are these recorded absences to be used for? If you do not require the functionality that comes with IT2001 (and associated quotas on IT2006) then don’t use it. As a simple alternative you could perhaps use IT2010 and set up wage types for each of your absences and record them simply in there.

It seems like you are having SAP setup a bit in a garbage way if I may be honest. The schedule of the employee (infotype 7) decides when he has to work.
This is just so that the employee can request a holiday from Monday to Sunday and doesn't have to worry to not include weekends or for example wednesdays if he/she doesn't work on Wednesdays. Your request is not possible and like mentioned before something that shouldn't be done.
