Conditional Emails in Recruiting

Is there a way to create an email tied to an Applicant Status that sends conditionally based on an application question? For example, if we have a question in our application that is yes/no, I want to send an email to candidates who answer 'yes' only.

No, you cannot have conditional emails based on questions. Only one email template can be associated with each applicant status. To achieve this, you would need two different applicant statuses one with an email and one without. You can then automate candidate movement using a business rule or integration.
