Compensation sheets - editable custom field default

Hi ,

We have requirement to default editable custom field on certain type of conditions .

enumerated list is not the option as there will be wide range to select.

I understand, read only fields can be defaulted through formula.

is this possible through any other way

An editable custom field cannot also get a value assigned based on if-then logic.

Only their default value upon opening of the worksheet can be assigned (from MDF or from EC) and then it will always be whatever the planner enters and save.

Unfortunately there is no alternative configuration possible unless you add more custom columns to compare what was selected by the planner with the latest value from EC and then build the if-then rule.
