Companion For Desktop crash everytime I launch guided tour with Regular Expression

I am trying to record guided tour on website using the profile 'Generic Web Application' for SEN Companion for desktop. I am currently facing this issue where if I try to tick 'Replace with Regular Expression' on URL parameter, it will instantly crash the Desktop Assistant whenever I launch the guided tour. This error only applies to the URL parameter and modifying other parameters with Regex seems to work fine. Through Javascript console I was able to identify the error which is sometimes error (:883) :SyntaxError: unterminated regular expression literal and sometimes error (:883) :SyntaxError: illegal character. Note: This error only happens on my machine where I could not run guided tour created by others and guided tour created by me with the above settings cannot be run on another machine. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Cheong Ming,

From the images you provide, I suspect that you are trying to neturalize the Workarea ID - overview - in the URL. At present, you are actually asking Enable Now to replace the entire with exactly the same URL and the special characters in the URL are likely to be causing the issue.

If I were looking to replace the WA ID, I would use the following settings:

1. Parameter - HTML3: url
2. Preset - Neutralize Specific Value
3. Value to Fine - overview

If you run that, I suspect that you will not have the same issue.

Thanks for sharing the work around. My guided tour is currently working fine with the settings you provided. However, it still does not explain why this only error occur on my machine but works fine on others, but I will not dwell on it.
