Closed Captioning on SAP Enable Now

Hello, I am Irina Pelagie from France. We are currently discovering SAP Enable Now in our company and I am creating learning content for intern services with Producer. I am on a project for a elearning module and would like to know if the CC (Closed Captioning) option was available ? When I am playing a Book Project it does not show any button to activate CC and I can not find any way to insert optional sub titles for my voice overs other than the Text to speech feature (which is not optional). Did I missed a setting for that ?

Thank you for your help !

Take care.

Irina

Hi Irina,

welcome to the SAP Enable Now Community 🙂

You need to activate the subtitles for Book Pages in the Producer settings: Playback Settings -> book reader -> Visual properties: Show subtitles.

https://help.sap.com/doc/11604b0fd2d7432c85491d7e0b6b71af/1905/en-US/Producer_Manual_en-US.pdf#page=...

After this please make sure that you publish the updated "Playback Settings" Resources to your Manager (Save to Server).

If you cant see the resources tree in your workarea click "view"/Workarea Details/ Show Resources.

If its enabled then its for all users enabled, I don't believe that there is an option like we know from YouTube where the user can decide to activate or deactivate the subtitles.

I hope that helps you, if yes please accept this answer.

Best regards, Michael
