Check maximum days - Time Off Business Rule

Hi

What function can I use in a business rule for the following requirement:

A rule that prevents an employee from selling more than 10 days. They should get an error when trying to sell more than 10 days, the rule is only working if the 10 days is requested all at once but if it's in separate occasions the request goes through;

e.g. Employee request 8 days then 4 afterwards, both requests go through.

I have tried these two functions, both not working.

Hi Lerato,

Take rules are validation rules for absences only. It will not work for payout.

Is your conditions for payout or absences?

Thank you for your response.

Yes, it's for payout. Employees are not allowed to sell more than 10 days per annum, I have created this rule but it's only working per occasion if the request is split it does not work.

Results

More than 10 days requested

But if request is split 8 days first then 4 days after, they both go through. 12 days approved for 2021 instead of 10 days
