Changes to goal plan state in Latest Goal Management

Hello,

I have activated Latest Goal Management and in the goal plan, I have established now 3 statuses for the goal plan: Not Approved, Sent for Approval and Approved.

In the implementation Guide I have found this information: If the latest Goal Management is enabled, the Changes to goal plan state setting is available. If this setting is enabled, employees and employees' managers (EM) who have the change-state permission, excluding action takers themselves, receive notifications of who changes the goal plan state and what the current goal plan state is.

I have also enabled the option from E-Mail Notification Templates Settings.

Send notification for:
Private in addition to public goal
Changes to goal plan state

When I go and choose the objective plan for which I want to set the changes to the goal plan, at Specify Different Template for Each Form I cannot choose the form. I found this KBA https://me.sap.com/notes/0002187693 which says that for Goal Modification Notification I cannot change the form.

What can I activate the notifications?

Thank you @Mridul Sharma, it helps a lot.

But all goal plans are enables in Customize Settings for Goal Plans, but Specify Different Template for Each Form I cannot choose the form. I do not understand where can I further check.

Below are steps to setup Job in provisiong ,please take help of any EC consultant if first time you are setting up the Job.

You must create "Goal notification email" type of scheduled job to be able to use the "Goal ModificationModificationModification Notification" e-mail notifications in Goals Management.

1.Log in to Provisioning.

2.In the Managing Job Scheduler section, click Manage Scheduled Jobs. The Manage Scheduled Jobs page appears.

3.Click the Create New Job link. The Create New Job page appears.

4.Enter a relevant Job Name. For example, enter "Scheduled Job for Goal Notification Email".

5.In Job Owner, select an admin user responsible for managing the e-mail template notifications.

6.In Job Type, select Goal notification email from the dropdown.

7.For Job Parameters, select Today.

8.In Occurrence, select Recurring to ensure that the Goal email notification is sent out regularly.

9.In the Recurring Pattern section, select Daily, and select 18:00 hours as the scheduled time for executing the job.

10.In Start Date, enter the starting date in the <MM/DD/YYYY> format and select a time for this scheduled job.

11.Select the Send E-mail when job starts check box.

12.Click Create Job. The newly created scheduled job appears in the list of jobs on the Manage Scheduled Jobs page.

13.For your newly created scheduled job, under Actions, select Submit.

This was so helpful. This was the issue, the job in Provisioning did not exist. Now I received the notification.

Hi adinac07 ,

Objective Modification notification will be coming if you have setup the Job for the same in provisioning.

You can set that job and it runs once a day so you have to wait for complete one day as per job timings

Note :

1.A goal modification notification is triggered when a public goal is created, modified, or deleted. Email notifications of goal modification are sent every 24 hours to the employee and to the manager, if changes were made to public goals on the employee's goal plan. Users are not notified of changes that they made themselves.

2.If the latest Goal Management is enabled, the Changes to goal plan state setting is available. If this setting is enabled, employees and employees' managers (EM) who have the change-state permission, excluding action takers themselves, receive notifications of who changes the goal plan state and what the current goal plan state is.

Hi adinac ,

This is a Known system behavior ,even though you are not able to choose the specific Template but notifications will work as you have separately chosen Goal plan state changes option .

Hello,

Unfortunately I do not receive notifications for changes of goal plan state. Is there something I need to see in Privisioning for goal plan state?

I have checked if I receive notifications for goal creation/ deletion and they work.

That's correct Goals notification works in different way ,you can choose your goal plan from below setting and it should work.
