Wen I try to log into Instant Producer via Manager I get an error:

The Work Area doesn't contain the necessary resources (macrosets, styles etc)

How can I set this up?

Hi David,

this usually happens when you have opened the Producer before for the same workarea. Then the Instant Producer tries to use the same workarea folder and this doesn't work.

Please try to rename the Producer local workarea folder and try again.

Users are not meant to switch between Instant Producer and Producer for one workarea, it's either one or the other.

You can also open an incident if this doesn't help.

Take care,

Kristina

Hello Kristina,
in some of the older/on-prem versions there was a switch/feature toggle where we could have Instant Producer and Producer against the same workarea for a single user. For example, I use this to show people Instant Producer but my "real" work is with Producer.

Is this now different with cloud SEN?

Thanks, Wallace

Hi Wallace,

there is an expert feature to open several components at once, yes, but for different workareas. For the cloud version it will not work if you want to open more than one component for the same workarea.

It's because instant producer and producer share one workarea folder when connected with the same user to one workarea.

Take care,

Kristina

Thanks Kristina!

I'll add it to my notes for the future, we are contemplating a small cloud to become accustomed to it, we're on-prem now.
