Cannot record simulation: Record Application button greyed out

Hi,

I am not able to record any simulation on Producer (Cloud version). I am able to edit the projects and update/push objects to server. However, every time I create a new project, the Record Application button is greyed out. I had a multi-monitor setup. I disconnected the 2nd screen and restarted my computer hoping this will fix the issue but the button is still greyed out.

Please let me know what could be the reason and how do I fix fix it.

Hi Ankur,

The only thing I can think of is that you do not have editing control of the Simulation that you are trying to modify, by recording steps. In the Explorer review in Producer, right click the Simulation and select Server Action > Start Editing and make sure that you get editing control before opening the Simulation. If you do have editing control and still cannot record steps, please raise an SAP support ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO and get support involved.

In my experience, I will usually get the Recording icon greyed out when I have minimized the recording bar while recording a simulation. This recording bar can be found in the system tray. Else I will just restart the producer which will get the recording icon back.
