Candidate Assessment

My client is using EhP6 and would like to know if e-Recruiting has capability for interview panel to assess candidate. I am sure there are roles like Decision Maker, Talent Consultant, Succession Planner, etc, but other than Manager / Recruiter the questionnaire doesn't travel to other team members in the organization.

I have created individual employees as users (including assignment of roles) and tried my best to see if there could be some options to see if the evaluations can be carried by anybody in the organization; but didn't strike me. I am sure there may be process to it and I am following wrong way or if not what is the best solutions that can be provided to client.

Example: Mr. X is Applicant, Mr. Y is Manager of Requisition, and Mr. A is Recruiter. There is an assessment to be performed by Mr. B who could be Technical Lead before taking Manager decision for final process. I have added Mr. Y, Mr. A, and Mr. B (role as Decision Maker and Manager Involvement) in support team category under requisition.

Hello All,

I have below mentioned scenario for Interview Evaluation in SAP E-Recruitment :

Mr. A is the manager , Mr. B is the recruiter, Mr. C is Interview Evaluator Level1.

This works fine if I trigger the activity "Interview Evaluation : Level 1".

But , my requirement is to add Interview Evaluation Level 1 role to Mr. A(Manager).

Kindly guide me to achieve this.

Sudeep,

Are you sure you can perform interview evaluation with Mr. C, because, the business process design of E-Recruiting is between Recruiter, Hiring Manager / Manager, and Candidate. May be you are using Mr. C as Manager. Kindly verify.

Thanks for the quick reply.

My scenario goes like this :

If I add Mr. C in the support group , he can evaluate the same (Interview Evaluation) on his recruitment page.

This is not the required scenario , but it works.

But , I want to get the evaluation done by Mr. A(Manager) itself and hence I assigned the

activity "Interview Evaluation" to Mr. A while maintaining support group in the requisition.

This does not work.

This will work. Who is your hiring manager in requisition and have to provided Recruiting Manager Role both in R/3 and MSS. Also, you have to configure some settings via LPD_CUST for Manager. Please check with Portal Consultant and ensure if right role is placed in the instance provided.

Dear Saravana,


I was also stuck for this issue for many days and could not find any standard solution.


Now you have 2 options on board:


1. Try to use the confirmation activity (but the problem here is you can not send questionnaire through this).


2. (I have done that) Copy the standard MSS role and remove all i-views except Requisition Monitoring, then           assign this z role to required person and also give him manager role in support team and create the                   activity.This way you can send questionnaire to any third person in your company.


This is the solution which I am using, if you come up with something good, let me know as well.

Hi Rana,

I was also thinking of same by providing MSS access and role, but defeating the process of "Decision Maker" or similar or from product per say. I also felt that customer requirement is right by giving E-Recruiting "Decision Maker" or similar access to any employee in a company who can evaluate the candidate during several interview process, but seems that option is not yet rendered in standard SAP. This would benefit more ESS / MSS users as well from organization perspective. Will wait for few more inputs and see if there is any progress to this question.
