workflow.pngbusiness-rule.pngmbcui.pngHello Everyone-
I have a situation as below-
In our company employees who get hired through reference ( Employed Via Tip) will be added to EC through "Add New Employee" and "Employed Via Tip" will be set to Yes.
After 2 months of service of this employee a Workflow needs to go to HR for approval & cc to certain users.
Is this possible. Can Workflow be configured in that way.?
I am attaching the rule & Manage Business Config UI ( where i attached the rule ) for your reference
To test this initially i made a rule to trigger Workflow 1 day later the Date of Joining ( if this works i will change dates to 2 months) used Onsave/ Postsave/ onInit but Workflow is not triggering.
Please help me in this. SAP says it is beyond their scope & wont assist.
Thanks
Karthik

Hello Karthik,
Scheduling and Conditional Start of workflow is not possible in SAP Build Process Automation. It is in the roadmap for Q4 2023. For now, you can use Integration Suite or Job Scheduling service in SAP BTP.
Hope that help,
Archana

By Default not as a workflow triggers based on an action from a user (at best you can set alerts instead that trigger after those 2 months, but note that you can only provide generic data in those).
If it must really be a workflow (as in approvers etc.), then the only thing you could do is create a file with integration center that filters on whether the hire date + 2 months = today and that writes a specific event reason that triggers the workflow. That's a bit trickier to create as there will be considerations, but that is the only way to get an approval workflow for it.
