In Latest People profile that will be released in May 2025, it seems like Introductory text (Self-description) will now be mandatory and enabled by default in the Profile preview (Public profile).
Is there a way to hide this feature to users? Enabling/disabling that feature was possible in Legacy People profile in Configure People profile. That option is not there anymore in Latest People profile.
If an employee adds a self-description that could be inappropriate, it seems like we can't edit it or remove it on his behalf. So being able to disable or hide that feature should still be available in Latest.

Hello @Karen17 ,
It looks like its not possible to achieve this feature at the moment. I tried myself as well. While doing some research I found out that there has been an enhancement request already raised for this requirement:

I voted for this as well. Make sure you do vote. Fingers crossed to see this feature in the product soon.

A possible workaround is to use "Manage Languages" to replace the text of the labels in the pop-up screen.
The standard values are the ones below, and you can replace the texts referring your internal policies about that content in your organizations.
PPX_Self_Description | Self-Description |
PPX_Self_Description_Desc | Introduce yourself briefly: |
PPX_Self_Description_Placeholder | Write about your professional background, skills, and interests |
