as part of HCM Payroll, I am currently looking for a solution for 2 topics in the area of calculation of averages.
It should be noted that the "old" calculation of averages is active, as the system itself is quite old.
We have problems with 2 issues in particular:
- Change of employee group during the month (e.g. salaried employee to hourly wage earner)
- Change from full-time to part-time during the month
In both cases, the average calculation for the month of the change is extremely different from what was expected. The background to this is that WPBP splits are no longer included in the average calculation. Only the valuated wage types without split assignment are included at this point.
However, this leads to fundamentally different results if the calculation bases change accordingly within this period.
I am struggling to find appropriate solutions here.
How have you solved such cases? Or do you always go down the manual route?
