Hi.
We have started looking into using Territories in our C4C Sales solution. In this context we came around the topic of assigning employees to Territory Teams.
Is there a way to automate this, i.e. when an employee is assigned to a specific org. unit, same employee is assigned to corresponding territory team? Or is this a purely manual process?
Best regards

Hi Soren,
An employee is assigned to an organizational unit with a function and has sales area data attached to his employee record. The territory structure is a seperate structure where you can assign a employee to one territory or assign multiple employees as a team to one territory. In the latter you also make one employee responsible for the team.
As it concerns 2 structures and often only some of the employees (sales) assigned to the organizational model are also assigned to a territory, changes in one structure does not automatically lead to the change of the other structure. There is no way to automate this e.g. set up a workflow rule that based on eg. organizational unit assignment the territory assignment of the employee is effectuated. Assigning employees in mass to a territory can be done by using the data workbench.
So it is important that a (maintenance) process is in place to support the on and off boarding of (sales) employees. Fortunately the (automatic) realignment of territories in relation to the accounts and documents is supported.
