Business rule triggers successfully but does not defaults the fields for time information (Work schedule/Holiday Calendar/Time recording Variant) IF Time Profile already exists. It fails with an error to set those fields first!
Request clarification before answering.

Make sure that on that date or any future/past date there is no time-off requests.
