Business Rule not working

Hi Experts, i created a business rule to default a custom field (Disability ID) in Global Information Portlet to Yes. I assigned the rule to the Global Information_NGA in Manage Business Configurations but the rule is not working. What could be the problem? Please i will need help resolving this. Thank you.

Hi esther1233 , reg. which scenario - depends on your use case. If the rule shall run onSave, than use the corresponding onSave scenario. If it shall run in case the field value is changed (or depending on the change of another field), it would be the corresponding onChange scenario.

If the value shall be populated onView already, you need to use the basic rule scenario for now, the corresponding rule scenario for onView is not yet available, but planned for 1H 2024. If the scenario is available, you can move the rule afterwards.

If this is not a new hire that makes sense. On init only works for new hires (which happens to be your rule type too) and it's recommendable not to use basic as scenario due to all the changes made. I'd expect it to be used with on change and/or onsave ideally.

Thank you for this. It’s not a new hire, what scenario would you suggest I use?
