Budgeting view in other currencies

HI

We have just two currencies USD and CAD. Currently budget calculations are coming in USD only . Do we have any provision to show calculations in both currencies.

Like USD is the functional Currency . What changes should we make in XML/Settings so that for planner view (CAD) is open to view budgeting in the same currency

Any clue?

Thanks

Ritanshi

Budgets are displayed in the Functional currency when the worksheet is in Functional or Employee Local Currency mode. When the worksheet is in Planner Currency mode, the budget (and column totals) are displayed in the Planner's currency.

Another option is to add Currency to the Budget Grouping - this would then make the budget split according to currency.

Hi Philip,

Do you know if it would also be possible to assign budget amount in another currency? Currently this seems only possible in USD (regardless of your functional currency).

thanks! Anne

We usually try to stay away from using the Budget Group feature from your screenshot because it is not dynamic in the sense that if employees move from one legal entity to another during planning and there needs to be changes to their budget contribution with this feature they have to be moved manually... which for large organizations is not possible.

We almost always use the Custom Budget feature described in this blog.

I don't think it is possible to do what you describe (enter budget in a different currency than USD) and this Budget group feature will most likely not be enhanced going forward.

Sorry for bearing the bad news.

All the best
