Budget hold back in Variable Pay

Hi,

Is it possible to have a hold back amount in Variable Pay similar to the functionality mentioned here? https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2084496 

The budget based on planner is not available for Variable Pay. I am checking if this is possible with standard budget configuration. I know it can be achieved by budget on custom field. Thanks in advance.

As far as I know there is no holdback option with any kind of budget in Variable Pay. You would need to look at maybe creating a 2nd budget box if that even works.

Budgets in Variable Pay work in a very specific way and custom field logic will not give you the same exact results than in Compensation.
